Made by Bangladeshi mothers

Our vortas are made by Bangladeshi mothers and homemakers from the Dallas–Fort Worth community, each bringing the flavors of her home district. They roast, pound and season every batch by hand, just as they do at home — in our health-inspected Dallas kitchen.

Every vorta is made fresh for your date, so please order at least 24 hours ahead.

Our story

From the shil-pata to your table

In Bangladeshi homes, vorta is love made by hand: something roasted, something pounded, a drizzle of pungent mustard oil and a squeeze of lime. We started cooking for friends in Dallas who missed that taste of home — and the word spread.
